Bunker Samples releases Intimate Violin "Iremia" - Soft Solo Textures for Kontakt

Bunker Samples has released Intimate Violin - Iremia - Soft Solo Textures, a solo viola library for Kontakt. 'Iremia' (Greek for quietude) is a deep exploration of the softest and most intimate side of the solo violin. When you play really soft on a violin, all the details and imperfections in the sound are intended to come to the foreground, and this creates a very intimate and human feeling virtual instrument. To capture these quiet sounds, Intimate Violin was recorded with three different close microphone positions - in fact, the closest mic is a tiny omni mic placed inside the instrument itself, offering an extremely intimate sound. The Super Close perspectives is two microphones placed just 30 cm above the instrument, while the Close perspective is placed about one meter away. Also included is a more traditional Mid and Far perspective. All together, the wide selection of mics combine to create a very intimate sound full of details and human imperfections. Every articulation in 'Iremia' was recorded both with and without mute, and for the sustains Bunker Samples also recorded a version with a giant practice mute, producing an extremely soft sound. There are 11 variations of sustains, as well as 10 different moving and evolving textures. Also included are 3 different types of natural swells, 4,3,2 and 1 second lengths. The library also comes with crossfade patches that allows the user to seamless morph from a muted to non-muted sound - something that is of course impossible to do in real life.
