WireGrind releases King Cobrato - Signal-Triggered Vibrato VST Effect for Windows

dimanche 31 août 2025, 12:13 , par KVR Audio
WireGrind has released King Cobrato, a new VST vibrato plugin. Its features include threshold-triggered LFOs, precision pitch-range control, 13 pitch envelopes, ducking, internal/external sidechaining, and settings to limit/force LFO cycling. It can also function as a chorus or flange effect. King Cobrato's LFO triggering and pitch-range control serve as the groundwork for other features. The LFOs switch on and off depending on the signal level. The triggering mechanism functions like that of a noise gate or compressor. It helps oscillations align with individual notes, regardless of when they occur. The pitch range control allows users to set upwards and downwards pitch variation with high precision. The maximum variation is ±1200 cents (±1 octave). Features made possible by LFO triggering include sidechaining, LFO cycle numbers, LFO cycle modes, LFO onset delay, and ducking. With 'number of cycles', users can specify the desired number of LFO cycles that should follow each trigger. Users can select a cycle mode, 'at least,' 'at most,' and 'exactly,' and it will modify the 'number of cycles' parameter. Onset delay is essentially a pre-delay where the LFO remains paused for a certain amount of time. One possible use is to allow transients through before modulation begins. The pitch-range control serves as a basis for the pitch envelopes. Pitch envelopes characterize the effect's output. They differ from modulation waveforms which, more often, are an algorithmic input. The envelopes include well-known shapes such as sine, triangle, sawtooth, and square. There are also more exotic envelopes such as split sinewaves and stair-step shapes that produce arpeggiator-like effects. King Cobrato includes controls for linked/independent channel processing modes, LFO start phase, and pitch gliding. A wet/dry slider allows users to create flanging and chorus effects. An oversampling control is available for suppressing aliasing. Feature Summary: Threshold-triggered LFO. Precision pitch-range control. 13 pitch envelopes. LFO cycle controls. Sidechaining. Ducking. Chorus/Flange capability. Pitch gliding. Onset delay. Linked/independent channel processing. Trigger signal scope. Lookahead. Oversampling up to 32x. Undo/Redo. A/B settings toggle. Pricing: King Cobrato is on sale for $26/€22 (regular $65/€55) until September 30th, 2025. Read More
