Waves announces the L4 Ultramaximizer

![]() L4 Ultramaximizer What music needs now. The sound of the ‘90s and the 2000’s was the L1 and L2. So many legendary records from this period were pushed through those limiters. It was such a standard that for many users, when they think of Waves, they think of the L2. But music sounds different today. There’s more low end. More dynamics. Stronger transients. Artists are looking for other ways to grab attention, not just ‘being loud.’ Producers want different limiting & balance aesthetics depending on the genre. With the L4, we wanted to give you more than just loudness. We built a brand-new limiter from the ground up, to give you the best of both worlds. More loudness than you need without any compromise to the dynamics, PLUS everything else you want from a limiter: 4 redesigned limiting algorithms, Modern, Aggressive, Safe, Smooth (+bonus L2 mode!) to suit the aesthetic of your track Fully adaptive Clipping & Release controls to shape the color of the transients Upward compression to deliver EXTRA loudness & density in softer sections of the mix Ultra-low latency LUFS metering to prepare your track for streaming levels Two different interfaces: Graph & Classic modes Additional features: True Peak, Upsampling, Stereo link, Dithering, Delta control, Gain matching For more information please visit: https://www.waves.com/plugins/l4-ultramaximizer Attached Thumbnails
