Native Instruments Announces Traktor Play DJ Software
Introducing Traktor Play: DJ software made simple. Everything you need to DJ with none of the complexity.

Native Instruments has today announced Traktor Play, a streamlined new version of its legendary Traktor DJ software, which will be available on November 3rd. With two decks, pro-grade sound, and instant access to millions of tracks via Beatport Streaming, Traktor Play makes it easy for anyone to start DJing: no steep learning curve, no extra gear required.

Whether you’re mixing in your bedroom, hosting a party, or jumping behind the decks for the first time, Traktor Play gives you the same iconic sound engine and creative tools trusted by professionals, in a package designed for simplicity and fun.

Instant music, instant mixes

Fire up Traktor Play and start DJing with just your laptop, no controller needed. With Beatport Previews built in, you can browse and mix from millions of tracks straight away, plus get two free months of Beatport Streaming Advanced for instant access to 40+ genres of club-ready music.

Sound great, every time

Traktor Play is powered by Native Instruments’ acclaimed sound engine, with industry-leading sync, key detection, and key correction to keep your mixes smooth. A built-in master limiter ensures your set is always punchy and distortion-free: whether you’re mixing at home, streaming, or playing out.

Creative tools to shape your sound

Traktor Play puts a range of pro-grade creative features at your fingertips:

Studio-quality reverb, delay, and gater effects
Mixer FX for one-knob filter sweeps and delays
Stem separation to mute drums with a single button
Pattern Player loaded with an 808 kit for hands-on beat-making
Looping, hot cues, Flux Mode and more to build energy and keep your set moving

More choice, more freedom for DJs

With Traktor Play, Native Instruments is taking a major step forward by opening the Traktor ecosystem to new hardware partners for the first time. Traktor Play will come bundled with plug-and-play compatibility for the popular AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2 and DDJ-FLX4 controllers. DJs now have greater freedom than ever to choose how they play.

Traktor Play will also come bundled with the Reloop Buddy and Reloop Ready controllers. While not plug-and-play, they can be configured with just a few additional clicks, giving users even more flexibility in how they perform.

Whether you’re starting out on just a laptop or moving onto your first controller, Traktor Play makes it easy to build a setup that matches your budget, style, and ambitions. And as Native Instruments continues to expand its partners, that freedom of choice will only continue to grow.

“Partnering directly with AlphaTheta and Reloop marks an exciting new chapter for Traktor,” says Simon Cross, CPTO at Native Instruments. “This collaboration means DJs have more flexibility, more accessibility, and more ways to connect with Traktor than ever before.”
