Mixwave Brings the Legendary MM-310 to the Modern Studio in Plugin Form
[BLOCKRIGHT="350"][/BLOCKRIGHT]Mixwave, in partnership with Quad-Eight Electronics, proudly announces the release of the MM-310 plugin — a meticulous recreation of one of the most revered and rare pieces of American recording history.

The MM-310 defined the unmistakable Quad Eight sound: warm, wide, and effortlessly musical. From Hollywood scoring stages to iconic studios, it helped shape the sound of countless classic films and legendary records throughout the 1960s and 70s. Original MM-310 modules are extremely scarce, cherished by engineers for their rich headroom, smooth transients, and unmistakable tone.

“As a company, we’re always excited to bring pieces of gear to the digital realm that aren’t easily obtainable,” said Taylor Larson, Mixwave Founder and Mix Engineer. “The Quad Eight sound is such an important part of music and film history that we felt we had to have this tool in our own workflows — and now it’s something everyone can access.”

Multi-platinum mix engineer Jeff Braun (Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, Russell Dickerson, Tyler Hubbard, Mitchell Tenpenny, Cole Swindell) also shared his experience with the plugin:

“The Quad Eight MM-310 plugin is an incredible tone shaping tool — the mic mode has vibe, it's very fast to dial in and extremely musical — it sounds great on everything.”

Through extensive component-level modeling and close collaboration with Quad Eight Electronics, Mixwave has captured every nuance of the original hardware. The MM-310 plugin delivers the harmonic depth, warmth, and character of the classic module, making its legendary tone accessible to today’s producers, mixers, and engineers.

The MM-310 plugin represents not just a recreation, but a preservation of a sound that helped define an era.
