A powerful and creative sound design tool, Rewind provides producers, sound designers, and film composers with an engine dedicated entirely to the art of reverse sound. It instantly crafts everything from beautiful, nostalgic pads and poetic chimes to mysterious, ominous textures, all based on the concept of playing sound backwards.

Rewind’s workflow is streamlined for maximum creativity. Users select one of 128 core sound sources, and the dual core engines—a backwards-playing Granular sampler and a reverse Tape Loop—instantly generate a unique sonic foundation. A dedicated Lo-Fi module adds character, while a comprehensive multi-mode Filter, dual Envelopes, and a full FX rack offer deep sound-shaping possibilities. For instant inspiration, a single click on the Randomiser creates new, unexpected patches.

The Power of Dual Reverse Engines

Rewind’s unique sound is made possible by its two core engines working in harmony. The Granular Engine deconstructs one of the 128 included samples and plays the resulting "grains" backwards, with full control over Density, Size, and Position. The Tape Loop Engine emulates a classic reverse tape, capturing audio and playing it back in reverse in sync with the DAW.

These engines are fed into a powerful, re-orderable effects chain featuring a lush Chorus, swirling Rotary, Flanger, Delay, and Reverb. A final Master section provides EQ, compression, saturation, and maximisation for a mix-ready sound right out of the box.
