Steinberg Releases Cubase 15 with AI Stem Separation, New Modulators and Workflow Updates

mercredi 5 novembre 2025, 11:24 , par KVR Audio
Steinberg has announced the immediate availability of Cubase 15, the latest major update to its music production software. The new version is available in three tiers: Pro, Artist, and Elements, each receiving a range of new features and workflow improvements. This release focuses on several key areas: expanding sound design tools (particularly in the Pro version), simplifying common workflows, and updating core plug-ins. What's New in Pro For users of Cubase Pro, the headline additions include AI-powered Stem Separation for extracting elements from mixed audio, an enhanced Expression Maps system for controlling articulations, and six new modulator modules, building on the system introduced in Cubase 14. The Pro version also gets UltraShaper, a new dynamics plug-in for transient shaping, limiting, and EQ. Updates for All Versions Many updates apply across the different versions. A new Melodic Pattern Sequencer is available for Pro and Artist users, designed for creating patterns with features like randomization and custom scales. Both Pro and Artist also get a new PitchShifter effect, a collection called Writing Room Synths, and 40 new Drum Machine kits. All users, including those with Elements, will see a redesigned Hub for starting projects, automation enhancements, and a new beta vocal synthesis engine called Omnivocal, which uses Yamaha technology to sing notes and lyrics entered into the Key Editor. Core plug-ins like Groove Agent SE 6 have been updated with new interfaces, and all stock effects now support scalable UIs. We worked closely with our community to refine what matters most, turning valuable feedback into meaningful improvements that make everyday workflows smoother and more intuitive. This release builds naturally on the foundation of the previous version — it feels like the perfect evolution, marking a major leap forward for Cubase.
