apulSoft Releases Opalize - Harmonics Beyond Dynamics

apulSoft has announced the release of Opalize, a new audio plugin designed to add 2nd–5th harmonics anywhere in the frequency range - regardless of input level - without introducing harsh distortion. It's ideal for enhancing bass, adding punch to drums, and helping synths cut through a mix. The plugin is based on a novel way of generating harmonics, created by Swiss mixer Joachim Budweiser. Opalize works best with monophonic or band-passed signals - but still delivers effective results on broadband material. It includes low-pass and band-pass filters to help isolate fundamental tones for optimal harmonic shaping. One band can track the pitch of a monophonic input and automatically adjust a lowpass filter in real time. The plugin can be downloaded from the apulSoft homepage and has a 10-day trial mode.
