Audio Hertz Releases AM.pre Tube Preamp (VST/AU/AAX)

Hey everyone, Dave from Audio Hertz here. We just released AM.pre, a plugin based on the preamp section of the Ampex 351. The modules were pulled from the old tape machines and run as standalone preamps because of their warm saturation, thick low end, and rich harmonics. AM.pre aims to bring that tone into a simple plugin.

We modeled the hardware’s behavior to capture its harmonic sweetness and the way it saturates as it’s driven harder. Turn it up and it adds the same warmth and character the hardware is known for. Push it and it moves into smooth, musical tube saturation without getting harsh.
