Fazertone/THE/AUDIO/FIRM announce Furnace Saturation Plugin
Furnace delivers the authentic sound of tape, transformers or tube saturation in a single plugin, taken directly from real iconic gear and modelled with our custom real-time neural networks.

A collaboration between Mix/Mastering Engineer Sean J Vincent and Vic from FAZERTONE. THE/AUDIO/FIRM is a new plugin development company with a mission to bring new, genuinely useful tools to mix and mastering engineers based on age-old techniques and the ultimate in audio quality.

We use a combination of circuit analysis and machine learning to capture the unique tone and non-linearities of analogue equipment that has evaded previous techniques.

The result is something on a whole other level to existing modelled plugins…powered from a custom neural network inference engine. This runs in real-time without the excessive CPU tax you find with other plugins.

This is a 3 way saturation processor with mid-side processing.

We have 456 – which is Analogue Tape Saturation. Captured using a real ½ inch tape machine running 456 tape.

Next, we have TFM – which is Transformer Saturation. Captured using a pair of 1084 input stages…plus a mystery transformer on the output.
Lastly, we have AX7 – which is the valve/tube Saturation. Captured using a pair of 12 AX7 long plate tubes running into a Lundahl transformer stage.

The ‘X’ button adds a small amount of transformer warmth and an EQ curve with a slight side push on the highs. This works on some settings, but not on others. It can work on it’s own with no other settings touched. Ideal for individual instruments rather than buses.

The FURNACE has been designed to react exactly like hardware. With the input set at it’s initial position, there will be a subtle ecect…. gentle warmth and added thickness without making itself overly obvious. Ideal for adding analogue vibes to your channels and buses.

If you push the input into the red however, then things get dirty! That’s how you can add thick distortion to guitars, basses, drums or anything you like…

The m/s control allows you to focus the saturation anywhere in the stereo field and the Hi Boost Switch gives you a little HF boost when needed.

Always use the mix control to blend the ecect in.

Over-Sampling deals with any potential aliasing.

There’s a collection of presets to get you started…and these give a good insight to the processor’s abilities.

Available in AU, AAX and VST3 for Mac and PC.
Fully Functioning 14 Day Trial – No iLok – No Silly Prices.
