Vienna Symphonic Library Releases Synchron Duality Strings (ostinato) - String Ostinato Library

Vienna Symphonic Library has announced the release of Synchron Duality Strings (ostinato), the sixth installment in their Duality Strings series. The collection is designed for creating string ostinatos and features two string ensembles recorded simultaneously in separate rooms at Vienna Synchron Stage. Following the Duality Principle of the series, a large ensemble performed in the spacious Stage A, while a small ensemble played in the drier Stage B. The simultaneous recording process ensures aligned performances that can be blended for various sonic outcomes. The library generates ostinatos in real-time from single notes captured during performance, reassembled by the Vienna Synchron Player's algorithms. This process creates natural-sounding transitions and variations, avoiding mechanical repetition. The Vienna Synchron Player also includes Flow View, an interface that allows composers to shape rhythmic patterns by playing live or editing notes in a sequencer.
