MeldaProduction Releases MMicSi, MTrackAlign and v17.07 Update

MeldaProduction has announced the release of version 17.07 of its plugin suite. This update introduces MMicSim, a new microphone simulation plugin, and marks the official release of the phase alignment tool, MTrackAlign. MMicSim MMicSim is designed to convert the signal from an existing microphone into the sonic profile of over 100 vintage, modern, and studio-standard models. Unlike standard EQ matching, MMicSim utilizes the analysis engine originally developed for MMatcher. MeldaProduction states that every microphone in the database was analyzed in an anechoic chamber using a custom multi-dynamic sweep. This process allows the software to capture how specific hardware reacts to different dynamics and frequencies rather than applying a static filter. Key Features: Database: Includes profiles for over 100 microphones. Processing Engine: Based on MMatcher technology, utilizing dynamic analysis rather than static EQ curves. Controls: Includes a 'Smoothness' parameter (default 20%) to address spectral inaccuracies and resonances, and a proprietary algorithmic Dry/Wet control to adjust processing intensity. Applications: Vocal chain enhancement, drum re-miking, and guitar amp microphone auditing. MTrackAlign Version 17.07 also sees MTrackAlign exit its beta phase. This utility is designed to automatically correct phase cancellation issues between multiple tracks recording the same source, such as multi-mic'd drums or guitar cabinets. It aims to ensure mixes are phase-coherent with minimal manual adjustment.
