Quantovox announces Fettkraft drums dispersion App

Fettkraft can apply different levels of dispersion, that could be interpeted as various snapshots of the time evolution of waveforms as they would pass through a dispersive medium.

Fettkraft brings powerful dispersion effects to iOS, with special emphasis on processing percussion sounds. It's a kind of acoustic prism that makes component frequencies spread out in time.

For example, it can coax out those deep "oomphs" even from shorter kicks, without increasing RMS or loudness levels - while ensuring that no exaggerated delay times are added in the sub-bass range. Fettkraft is also tuned to avoid most of the stronger "zappy" qualities to maximize versatility across a wide variety of drum sounds and genres.

Prior to this release, strong dispersion effects could only be coarsely approximated on iOS via spectral delays that have limitations around both transients and low-frequency fidelity.

Adapted from an ultra-strong dispersion modelling algorithm, Fettkraft can deliver high levels of dispersion without having to stack multiple plugin instances, unlike all-pass filter-based dispersers.

Unlike such heavily stacked configurations, when using Fettkraft, you no longer need to wrestle with side effects when you're looking for meaningful levels of low-mid dispersion.
