CARP Audio has announced the release of Swing Master, a new audio effect plugin designed to add swing and groove directly to audio in real time. Unlike traditional swing tools that operate only on MIDI or in offline processing environments, Swing Master works entirely on plain audio, making it ideal for modern loop-based and audio-driven workflows. Swing Master slices incoming audio along the DAW's beat grid and delays selected steps in the sequence to generate swing, all while staying synced to the project tempo. This allows producers to reshape the feel of drum loops, percussion, and rhythmic material without manually cutting clips or moving audio off-grid. A built-in De-Bleed function ensures that only the intended parts of the signal are shifted, preventing unwanted overlap and timing smear. Existing micro-timing and pre-shifts are preserved, keeping the original groove intact. To avoid artifacts commonly caused by audio slicing, Swing Master features a custom real-time de-clicking algorithm. This process removes clicks caused by cutting at non-zero crossings and can even enhance rhythmic contrast, especially on non-percussive material.
