Solid State Logic Releases SSL Acoustifier Plug-in for Acoustic Guitar DI Modeling

jeudi 6 novembre 2025, 15:31 , par KVR Audio
Solid State Logic (SSL) has announced Acoustifier, a new plug-in developed to transform acoustic guitar D.I. signals. The plug-in is designed to make a dry, direct-input track sound as if it were captured in a studio environment using a dual-microphone setup. The core of the plug-in is its simulation engine. Users can start by matching their guitar to one of four acoustic body types: two dreadnought variations, a jumbo/large body, or a concert/orchestra model. From there, you can select from three different classic microphone emulations (dynamic, condenser, or ribbon) and arrange them in different configurations, such as XY or spaced pairs. The plug-in also includes an option to blend the virtual body and neck microphone signals to further shape the tone. Dedicated SSL EQ Acoustifier integrates a built-in EQ section, which should help avoid needing extra plug-ins in the signal chain. It features a real-time frequency analyzer. For quick adjustments, there's a tilt band to shift the tonal balance. For more detailed work, it includes high-pass and low-pass filters plus three fully customizable parametric bands. Onboard Reverb To add space and realism, the plug-in includes a reverb engine with algorithms derived from SSL FlexVerb. It offers a curated selection of Room, Chamber, Plate, and Hall types. A key feature here is the integrated reverb ducking. This dynamic control can lower the reverb level in response to the guitar signal (sourced from the D.I. path, a pre-reverb tap, or an external sidechain), helping the main performance remain clear and not get lost in the effect. Integrated SSL Compressor SSL has also included a dynamics section. The integrated compressor features an Auto-Gain function to help level-match adjustments and a Mix control for setting up easy parallel compression. For added flexibility, the compressor can also be placed post-reverb, offering more control over the processed signal within a mix. Key Features: D.I.-to-Mic Simulation: Featuring four popular acoustic guitar models (two dreadnought variations, a jumbo/large body, and a concert/orchestra model) for tone matching. Classic Microphone Modelling: Choice of three classic microphone types (dynamic, condenser & ribbon) in stereo XY and spaced pair configurations. Dedicated EQ: Shape your tone with an FFT analyser, HP & LP filters, fast-access tilt band, and three fully configurable parametric bands. Onboard Mix-Ready Reverb: Equipped with Room, Hall, Plate, and Chamber reverb types, plus built-in reverb ducking for clarity. Integrated Compressor: Offers dynamic control with a mix knob for parallel compression. 'HQ' Mode: An option for intelligent oversampling for higher-quality results. {PRODUCT-HEADER-33611-acoustifier}. Pricing & Availability Acoustifier retails for $99.00 with and intro offering of $49.00. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0XMxGrdsJo&pp=ygUPc3NsIGFjb3VzdGlmaWVy0gcJCQMKAYcqIYzv Read More
