I have a Martin & Co X series special, serial # 2493865, but it does not appear on the list of serial #s on the Martin site. Why would this be?
In reply to john parke. Hoyer guitars don’t have a well-documented serial number database, so getting info on them can be quite the task. Have you tried reaching out to Hoyer guitars?
In reply to Jay. Your BC Rich Bich NJ Series (serial #6300151) was likely made in Korea or Japan, as most NJ Series models came from these regions. Dating BC Rich guitars can be tricky, but based on similar serial patterns, yours is probably from the late ’90s or early 2000s....
