It has been a while since we first featured Milk’n Blues, who does some pretty epic covers. In this clip, they take on The Doobie Brothers, “Long Train Runnin’,” with Eduardo Machado laying it down.
Former Dire Straits bassist John Illsley is back with a new solo album entitled “Coming Up For Air.” Produced with Guy Fletcher and recorded in Mark Knopfler’s studio, the album has a distinct flavor of Illsley’s former band in addition to his unique voice.

The Eastwood Custom Shop has collaborated with designer John Backlund once again to create the Backlund 100 Bass. Modeled after the retro-futuristic guitar, the bass is built with an offset and angular mahogany body matched to a mahogany neck.

German manufacturer Duesenberg Guitars has announced a limited edition series instruments with Boston-based punk band the Dropkick Murphys. The Alliance Series is limited to 96 instruments worldwide and includes a bass model for Ken Casey.

It’s been 20 years since Ibanez first introduced the BTB. They’re celebrating in 2019 with the BTB 20th Anniversary Bass, available in five and six-string versions.
Keyboardist/vocalist Alina Engibaryan released “We Are” in February 2018. The band, which includes Michael League on bass, Chris Potter on sax, and Kendrick Scott on drums just released the video for the track, “Doesn’t Seem So Real.”
