Back in March, Pixies announced the departure of Paz Lenchantin and the introduction of Emma Richardson. The new bassist has already completed a European tour with the band and apparently they’ve already hit the recording studio.

John Ferrara, a bassist and composer, has made a name for himself with his innovative tapping bass playing style and his work with his world fusion band, Consider the Source. He's our guest for the June episode of Groove.
I discovered this “NEE Jam” video today, and I was blown away. The performance is great, as is the story behind it. In this clip, the band performs a very cool take on The Police’s “Walking on the Moon.”
