The Liverbirds were Britain’s first all-female rock band that emerged from the Liverpool/Merseybeat scene in the 60’s. The band’s bassist, Mary McGlory, is the subject of this edition of Wonder Women: Stories from the Women Who Play Bass.

2024 marks the 15th anniversary of the Kala U-Bass and the company is celebrating with a special model. The Solid Hawaiian Koa Top 15th Anniversary Edition U-Bass is crafted with a hand-selected piece of Koa from Kala’s private stock.
Charles Berthoud recently held a bass clinic at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. As his intro, he performed his song “Elevated” for the attendees.
